About the factory
In the hills above Gampola.
Dartry Valley Tea Factory stands in the hills above Gampola in the Kandy District, close to where the Dartry Estate was first established in the Gampola / Pussellawa area in 1891. Senhora Group has managed the factory since 2016.
Around 75 staff and 300 operators turn the leaf of some 3,000 smallholder farmers and surrounding estates into single-origin, fresh Ceylon tea — working to ISO 22000, HACCP and GMP standards.

The craft
Fresh from the factory to the world.
Leaf from surrounding estates and smallholders — grown between 600 and 1,200 metres above sea level — is processed at Dartry Valley into single-origin Ceylon tea, including Factory Fresh BOPF.
The factory has welcomed visitors from Japan and Europe for tea tasting and factory tours — and is proud of the name Dartry Valley has built at home and abroad.

Visit the Dartry Tea Cottage — a timber-clad tea outlet beside the factory, its shelves lined with factory-fresh Dartry Valley teas.
Behind every pack is a team of around 75 staff and 300 operators, and a community we are proud to support through welfare, education, faith and wellness programmes.
