About the factory
Tucked into the forested hills of Aranayake.
In the misty, forested hills near Aranayake in the Kegalle District, New Mount Carmel is the Group's most compact tea factory — 50 staff and 200 operators working with the leaf of 2,500 smallholders. Senhora Group has managed it since 2012.
Its blue-and-white buildings step down a green hillside, producing single-origin, fresh Ceylon teas from leaf grown close to its doors.
